Known
to be a thinking artiste, Banashree has been performing in all
major national and international festivals since last 30 years,
alongwith her husband – partner known as one of the most
celebrated couple of classical dance in India and abroad.
The first Kuchipudi artiste from a non-Telugu community to have received
the National Award in this genre. She also teaches at Kuchipudi Dance
Academy, New Delhi. Banashree coordinated Prathisthitaa Festival (2005)
on behalf of the Academy in New Delhi
