in the Kalakshetra style of dancing (1987-98) by Guru Leela Samson,
Deepika has performed with her and conducted nattuvangam on many
tours and performances in various parts of the world. She also
learnt advanced Sanskrit courses (Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan) and
Classical Music (Carnatic) from Smt. Uma Nagaraj.
She is founder of continuous display of creative expressions in various
media (fabric, metal, wood, terracotta, furniture, furnishing) on display
at Bimba The Art Hut, Chennai. Also, does artistic planning and styling
of homes-interiors and outdoor spaces in Chennai/Bangalore
Has done stage décor for traveling dance-drama (Sallapathikaram),
and CCRT lecture-demonstration activities in Rajasthan, New Delhi and
Andamans
