Guru Durga Charan Ranbir besides having participated, choreographed and conducted dance programmes in most of the major festivals in India has more than 25 years of teaching experience.
These include: Khajuraho Nritya Samaroh, Khajuraho; Haridas Sammelan, Vrindavan; Gunguru Festival, Bhopal; Chhanda Festival, Kerala; Uttara Purusha Festival, Uttar Pradesh; Nishagandhi Festival, Kerala; Surya Festival, Kerala, Kinkini Festival; Konark Festival; Beach Festival, Puri; Natyanjali, Chidambaram; Tamil Izai Sangam Festival, Poolachi; Natarajotjhsava, Pallavothsave, Mysore; Kal Ke Kalakaar Sammelan, Mumbai; Kumbhamela, Allahabad and Nritya Mahotsov, Orissa.
He has performed abroad for programmes organised by Indian Council for Cultural Relations and other sponsoring agencies in Bangladesh, Hong Kong, Malaysia, China, South Korea, Bulgaria, Hungary, Germany, USA, and South America.
His teaching activities include training about 300 students of India and foreign origin at ‘Nrityayan’, an institute established by him, who have excelled in their work and have performed, in international forums.
Guru Ranbir has served as visiting faculty in Utkal Sangeet Mahavidyalaya, Bhubaneswar, Delhi University Cultural Council; Examiner, Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, Mumbai, Pracheen Kala Kendra, Chandigarh, and Jury Member, Selection Committee, Ministry of Human Resources Development, G.O.I. for Odissi dance Scholarship/Fellowship.
