A
versatile artiste, Indu has not only composed dance for musical
compositions and rare songs but has also given solo presentation
on the life and works of saint-poet Tyagaraja with 12 of his
own compositions.
Her thematic presentation ‘yamini’ is based on poet Swati Tirunal’s rare work among her other noteworthy solo and ballets presentations. Besides training young dancers in dance, theory, music, choreography and exercises she has choreographed new thematic concepts on individual dance items for them. She is: Director/Teacher of Rangshree Dance Academy, Mumbai, Senior Asstt. Director, National Centre for Performing Arts, Mumbai, Guest Lecturer, International Theatre Workshop, Natanakairali, Kerala and Head Deptt. Of Bharatnatyam, SNDT University, Mumbai (2003-2004). |
