Starting
at the age of 12 years, Narippatta was trained in Kathakali by
famous teachers for eight years. A regular performer at temple
festivals, cultural programmes and religious functions for the
last 40 years, Narippatta has also worked as teacher and lecturer.
His performances and Workshops abroad include in Italy, Germany,
UK, Middle East Countries, South Korea, Finland and Estonia.
He has also participated in dance-based documentary film ‘Nottam’ and
a Kathakali-based television project for Korean broadcasting system (2002).
Naripatta has choreographed, directed and edited Kathakali plays. He
is presently Art Director & Senior Instructor, Gandhi Seva Sadan
Kathakali & Classical Art Academy, Kerala
