Awarded
Govt. of India Scholarship and trained under late Smt. Rukmini
Devi Arundale, Premchand Hombal has performed in India and abroad
including Bharat Bhavan, Bhopal, International Buddha Mahotsav,
Varanasi, national and international seminars and conferences,
Bharat Mahotsav in Soviet Russia (1987), Bharat Mahotsav, Moscow
(1988) and International Festival of Music and Dance, Finland
(1993).
He has also choreographed several dramas and ballets: ‘Uttar Priyadarshi’, ‘Tripathaga’, ‘Buddha Charita’, ‘Jatakam’, ‘Mahishasur Mardini’. Apart from directing Sanskrit plays ‘Dootvakyam’, ‘Karnabharam’ ‘Oorubhangam’, Premchand Hombal has acted in ‘Malvikagni Mitram’, ‘Vikramorvashiyam’ and ‘Vanisambhar’. His latest choreographed dance for ‘Abhigyan Shakuntalam’ is for Doordarshan. |
