Starting at a young age of five years, Savita immersed rarely in the field of her liking Kathak dance. Under the training and guidance of legendary Guru Lachhu Maharaj for a long spam of years she excelled in both the styles of Kathak-Lasya and Tandava.
A firm advocate of new experimentation in Kathak dance without compromising with its basic pure form, Savita improvised the performing techniques to evolve her own style. Her performances throughout the country include:
