Shila
received training for Kathak dance from renowned Gurus and became
adept at directing dance ballets as in presenting folk dances
both in traditional and innovative styles. Performing prestigious
festivals in India and having worked successfully with folk literature
of Gujarat in Kathak dance idiom, Shila has the distinction of
being invited by Indian Council for Cultural Relations to present
series of solo Kathak dance performances in all major cities
of Germany. Besides she has performed, given lecture-demonstrations
and conducted workshops in UAE, Oman, UK, Ireland, USA.
Empanelled artiste of Indian Council for Cultural Relations, she is ‘A’ grade
artiste of Doordarshan TV.
