training at an early age of 8 years under the Gurukul system
under eminent gurus. Has given performances all over India
and lecture demonstrations in various institutions and universities.
Has composed several dance ballets which include ‘Venkateshware
Kalayanam’, ‘Bhama Kalapam’, Kalidas ‘Meghdootam’ and ‘Astha
Nayika’ depicting eight types of heroine described
in Shastras in Bharatanatyam. Her style being focu
sing four classical dance styles apart from regular traditional dance
margams. She is co-founder of Mudra School of Indian Classical Dances
with her husband Shri Bhaskar Raghav Menon.
